These “girls at the top of the tree” have a very active role in the selection process. And because of that, many guys have fallen out of the tree in pursuit of these high quality apples and have broken their bones so that they can no longer climb up the tree. They are forced to pick at the lower fruits in hopes that picking the apple shakes the tree enough to get one of the higher apples to fall at its own will. Maybe we have a reason to be scared of climbing to the top. Maybe it’s because we have already been broken.
